Where Did El Clandestino Come From?

Welcome to my home. I didn't used to have foreign visitors, but after a while, you get bored being alone and unable to talk. As you know, alcohol is a powerful thing, and sometimes you end up talking to yourself. Yes, talking to yourself, that's what I said. After having many conversations with myself, I realized how sad I was for not having anyone to share my thoughts and stories with. When I became aware of my loneliness, I decided to build a chinchorro (a small, informal gathering place) in Arecibo, Puerto Rico, so I could share and socialize with more people. Even though we're in quarantine now, I think we all feel the same way: "WE WANT TO GO OUT!!!" So, I decided to share my different moods to see who can relate.

Sometimes people ask me why a bar in Arecibo, Puerto Rico? Well, because in Arecibo we're very close to the Cueva del Indio (Indian Cave) and also to the statue of Christopher Columbus. So I thought it was a good location for me, since there are other places that are considered discreet and mysterious. Personally, I like the city, but sometimes you have to relax and clear your mind in a peaceful place. In Arecibo, we're not very far from the metropolitan area, but we're far enough away to enjoy a peaceful atmosphere. That's why I welcome you to my humble home to come and share with me, but more importantly, with your family and loved ones.

After a long time alone, I realized that life isn't all about material things, but rather about having those moments of joy, laughter, and being able to connect with your loved ones. Come and share with your family; I promise you'll love it! - Clandestino
