Ecotopía is a tropical ecological park located near Las Terrenas in Dominican Republic.
It is a sustainable permaculture project aiming at preserving the rich biodiversity of the Caribbean region.
This private project was launched in 1987 on the exploited land of a cattle farm. Today, the tropical forest covers over 75% of the land.
Within its 30 hectares, the park hosts over 1000 native and endemic plants species.
