Hello, we are Vale and Miki (Valentina and Michele), an Italian couple living at “Parque nacional de Jaragua”, a paradise located in the south-west of the Dominican Republic.

Our common passion for scuba diving brought us together during a trip in 2015 in Lipari, in the Aeloian Islands, another paradise that holds a special place in our hearts.

Vale, a young trained Orthoptist, with a passion for adventure and the desire to travel and discover the world.

Miki, a few years older and stuck too long working in a factory, with a lifelong dream and desire burning in his heart.

In February 2019, we came exploring the South West of the Dominican Republic.

Pedernales and the Jaragua National Park stole our hearts. Far from mass tourism, crystal clear waters, and a beautiful seabed to explore in a perfect, unspoiled ocean.

Less then 12 months later, with a one way ticket in our hand, we left Italy to build our dream: BUCEO PEDERNALES.

Now we are ready to share our experience and lead you to discover the underwater beauty, always respecting mother nature, that we are so very passionate about.
