At the turn of the 20th century, the Royal Navy relinquished control of the lands encompassing English Harbour, passing the torch to the Crown. By 1906, the colonial government of Antigua inherited this historic gem, which had been left to the ravages of time. The village of English Harbour began to shift to Falmouth Harbour, leaving behind a memory and a name. Despite this transition, the Dockyard remained a symbol of maritime ingenuity and historical significance.
